Learning from the Land
May 11, 2019 – 9:30am – 3pm

Join Craig Hanson and Moksha Badarayan on a quest to discover what the land and life was like on the Central Coast in ancient times.

Enjoy interactive presentations on the geological and biological past. Then, hike through the oak-dotted, rolling hills of Sunburst Sanctuary to search for fossils and evidence of the changing ancient environment. Imagine yourself on the shore of an estuary watching marine reptiles and giant fish swimming by.

Bring a sack lunch to enjoy on the hike, and an old toothbrush to clean your fossils.

Online registration is available through May 9, 2019. After that date, please call or email to find out if space is still available. Sliding scale donation: $30 to $40.
